A mining investment forum to fastrack the development of the
mining industry in Camarines Norte and as part of the
revitalization of the mining industry program of the government
was held on July 12,2005 at the Crispin Hall, Petrolab on the
Mines and Geosciences Bureau (MGB) in Diliman, Quezon City,
Metro Manila.

Director Reynulfo A. Juan facilities the group discussion among
the participants where the area of interest is the gold mining
districts of Jose Panganiban and Paracale in Camarines Norte

Director Reynulfo A. Juan said about 32 participants representing 19
mining companies operating in Bicol attended, among them Blue Ridge
Mineral Corporation, Platinum Group of Metals, Alakor Corporation,
United Paragon Mining Corporation, Pargum Consolidated Corporation,
Filminera Resources Corporation, Trans Asia Oil and Energy
Development, Starrex Mining and Development Corporation, Glendale
Mining and Development, Northern Island Builders and Development
Corporation, City Group Phils., Corporation, Golden River Mining
Corporation, Corral Resources, Enviroscan Inc., and Climax Mining. |

“Since all of these companies are based in Metro Manila, we at
the MGB-V being the organizer agreed to hold the forum at the
MGB Central Office in Manila” Juan said.
“The forum focused itself on group discussion among the
participating mining investors, mining claim-owners-tenement
holders and the government through the DENR-MGB as facilitators
where the area of interest is the gold mining districts of Jose
Panganiban and Paracale in Camarines Norte” he explained.
Juan pointed out the forum, as planned, accomplished its purpose
as a venue of opportunity among mining investors and mining
claim-owners and were able to discussed their concerns and areas
of cooperation in order to fastrack the development of the
mining industry in Camarines Norte.
The forum proper
featured Assistant Secretary and concurrent MGB Bureau Director
Jeremias Dolino who delivered the forum’s Welcome Remarks,
Inspirational Message by Undersecretary for Mining and Legal
Services Deinrado D. Dimalibot, Rationale of the Investment
Forum by MGB-V Regional Director Reynulfo A. Juan and Closing
Remarks by MGB Assistant Director Edwin G. Domingo. (LDValdez)
